My personal MOVING journey. | Umzug. 2015

Yes, I'm MOVING OUT!

This post should give you short information what I've planned for my blog the next month. Because MOVING is a pretty big milestone in my life (or life in general) I decided to capture and document it. If you've already experienced a "moving process" you'll understand how exciting and at the same time exhausting and stressful it can be. For a big decoration and furnishing lover like me - this will be a terrific and special journey for me. The decor buying and planning has already begun, but I'm not even halfway there how I want my new flat to look like. In the following, I will tell you what I have in mind for decorating and styling, where I want to shop for it and my plans for following posts during my move.

If you're interested and maybe thinking about taking the moving path soon keep going and tell me in the comments below what you'd like to see while I'm moving! :)

What is your imagination of the style for your new home? (Inspiration)
As a "little" Pinterest-Freak (https://www.pinterest.com/julesmariette/) you know that no matter what, you'll find inspiration for EVERYTHING. Perfect for getting some decoration ideas. When I'm thinking about my future flat (particularly the living room and bed room) I want bright colours!! A lot of white and some yellow/turquoise/grey details. I'm loving this colour combination right now. What I'm also loving: copper details!!! I'll show you some pictures who work as a guideline for me.

Where are you going to shop?
My go-to shops for buying decor are: DEPOT (http://www.depot-online.com/at/home), Mömax (http://www.moemax.at/cms/frontpage) and H&M Home (http://www.hm.com/at/department/HOME).

DEPOT sells decor items, tableware and a lot of DIY utensils. The SALE there is absolutely amazing sometimes. You can find true treasures.

Go to Mömax when you are also planning on buying the "basics" like: cutlery, plates, cups..etc. they have adorable offers. You can also find furniture, carpets, lamps and the price level is a tiny bit above IKEA.

Now my favorite: H&M Home. A lot of people didn't even know that H&M offers homeware and decoration. (It's kind of like Zara Home but way less expensive). I love the style there. You have the bathroom, kitchen, living room and bed room department and each of them has absolutely georgeous items. Literally this moment, my second H&M (home) delivery arrived!!! YAY.

Sneak peak?

Stay tuned for the next steps of my moving journey!! :)

Summer SMOOTHIE-BOWL. | Peach-Berry-Lime.

Right now - the weather in Vienna is going crazy (30° - rain - thunder - 20° - and 30° again). I don't know about you, but during summer, I prefer light dishes/snacks. One of my favorite fruits right now are: peaches! (and nectarines). They're so delicious. So, I tried them out in a smoothie recipe and it turned out so delicious. :) The best thing about smoothie bowls is - you can top it with whatever you like. Banana, coconut flakes, nuts...etc.

So lecker.

Ingredients | Zutaten
1 cup coconut water - 1 Tasse Kokosnusswasser
1 cup frozen berries - 1 Tasse gefrorene Beeren
2 - 3 peaches - 2 - 3 Pfirsiche
Ginger - Ingwer
1/2 lime - 1/2 Limette
(for more sweetness: 1/2 banana - für mehr Süße: 1/2 Banane)

ENJOY - einfach genießen ;)

MEMORY LANE. | Happiness. | January - June.

"Don't forget to smile today. "

Let's take a little trip down memory lane. A few blog post ago, I mentioned a new "habit" of mine. A compliment, a conversation, an event, a photo, a song? Doesn't matter WHAT made me happy during the last 6 month, I wrote it down and put it into a jar. I started in January and I was surprised how full it actually became. Now, as half of the year is over I wanted to share some of those with you. :) (And I'm so excited to open them now!!!) I will write them down shortly and without any (too) personal details. Maybe they will motivate you to also collect little memories of your life. Enjoy! :)

-  I finished a successfull workout.

- Got invited to a prom.

- Full points on a test.

- The sweetest birthday message from a good friend of mine who (unfortunately) lives far away.

- Cinema night with my cousin, where we spontaneously met someone and had a conversation during the whole film

- Trip to Budapest with a friend.

- Great lunch in the city.

- A special "happy new year wish"  and an additional sweet message! <3

- Surprised a friend at his birthday party and his reaction was super sweet :D

- Productive day at uni.

- Good job interview and lunch + ice cream with two friends afterwards.

- My birthday dinner with my closest friends.

- New Year's Eve celebration.

- My first working day was really good!!

- 4km morning run and watching a sunrise.

- A compliment from my aunt.

- A beautiful winter walk with a friend + taking some pictures.

- Finally made a dentist appointment after too many years and I survived ;)

Sorry, they are not in order, but looking back I think I already made some beautiful memories this year. I wonder what the second half of the year will bring. :)

What I love at the moment. | JUNE 2015.

"Overthinking is the biggest cause of our unhappiness. Keep yourself occupied and your mind off things that don't help you.
Be optimistic. "

A while has passed, but I'm back with monthly favorites. At first, I thought it will be hard to find things that I REALLY loved because of the stress I had (still have) for uni but then I found some cool stuff . During June I bought DECORATION and CLOTHES, tried out new RECIPES, re-discovered FOOD I really love, found a pretty beautiful PLACE and listened to new SONGS.

D E C O R A T I O N
I went to Thalia with absolutely no desire to buy any decoration. But there was a SALE going on with really likeable prices ;). I saw those copper vases (I've generally fallen in love with copper things, I think they make everything look more luxurious and modern). They were like...1€ EACH!!! I mean........

C L O T H E S

I was planning on buying new workout clothes from Nike for quite a while now. I drove to Parndorf (Designer Outlet in Austria) but couldn't find ANYTHING in the store, which kind of frustrated me a little bit. (BUT I found a really cool workout mat from Reebok). So, a month later I went into the Nike store in Vienna and found 2 items. A workout bh (black/grey ~ 50€) it sits perfectly and it's so comfortable, which is the most important thing. Then, I also found some pants in a really fancy color (turquoise/blue with little dots on it). The fabric is so soft!!!

R E C I P E S
I won't show you specific recipes, but I want to present you 2 books I got for my birthday. The "La Veganista" by Nicole Just and "Deliciously Ella" by Ella Woodward. Both have incredibly delicous vegan recipes in it. I love cooking and therefore I love trying out new recipes as often as I can! :)

My next favorite would be : MAKI. I've never been a great fish lover and so I never eat fish. BUT I love cucumber and avocado maki. Sooo delicous!! Plus, I 'm not a person who goes out for meals very often but this month I've had those MAKI to go twice!!! <3

P L A C E

It's the first time I'm showing a favorite place in my favorites post. It has been extremely hot here in Austria in the beginning of June. My cousin and I decided to drive to a lake. A friend of mine recommended me the "Neufeldersee". It lies in Burgenland and it's not that far from Vienna, which is great. I LOVED it there. Although there was an event going on while we were there (so it was loud and there were sooo many people) it was a lovely day.

Healthy Energy Bars. | Recipe.

Homemade Energy Bars

! WARNING !
When tasting these energy bars there will be no desire for purchasing any in supermarkets again. ;)

During my search for a recipe for healthier energy bars (without any additives, preservatives or sweeteners) I found a lot I wanted to try out. I didn't really stick to the recipes that I found one to one, I also added some other ingredients that I liked. The end result surprised me. I honestly haven't tried such a delicious snack bar ever. It is totally variable - you can add, change or leave out some of the ingredients. The most important ones are: banana, oats, almond butter and coconut oil.
They taste absolutely delicious and you kind of want to eat all of them at once :P

You will need:
2 bananas
2 cups of oats
3 tbsp almond butter
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 cup nuts (of your choice)
1 cup seeds (I chose sunflower seeds)
1/2 cranberries (or raisins)
cinnamon

Add the coconut oil and almond butter into a pan while stiring (LOW heat!!)

Mash up the bananas and add it to the oil and butter

Keep stiring and turn off the heat (let it cool off)

chop your cranberries if you want

Add in oats and cranberries into banana mixture

Place it evenly in a baking tin

And....after 15-20 minutes in the oven (170°)....
