FLORIDA - land of sunshine. | Decor - Inspiration.

  

 A bit of Florida sunshine in your home.

Neben reisen, kochen und Sport zu machen liebe ich es zu dekorieren. Ebenso liebe ich es Räume einzurichten und mich für verschiedene Dekorationsstile zu inspirieren. Als ich damals meine Wohnung eingerichtet habe, war mir wichtig, dass es gemütlich, modern, hell und gleichzeitig farbenfroh ist. Ich habe zum Beispiel durch Pölster und Bilder gelbe und violette Farbakzente gesetzt. In meiner Wohnung verteilt findet man auch die Farbe kupfer/rosé gold. Ich bin einfach verliebt in diese Farbe.

Momentan habe ich wiedermal Lust Kleinigkeiten zu verändern und vielleicht einen neuen Dekorationsstil zu integrieren. Da ich meine Wohnung immer gerne der Jahreszeit anpasse dachte ich mir, dass ein sommerlicher, "beachy"- Florida Style gut passen würde. Ich habe viele Webseiten und Magazine durchgestöbert und habe ein Styleboard (Raum im Florida-Style) erstellt .Vielleicht kann ich euch ja inspirieren eure Wohnung auch einen sommerlichen "touch-up" zu verpassen auch wenn das Meer leider nicht vor der Haustüre ist :)

One thing I like to do besides traveling, cooking and sport is decorating. I love to get inspired for different decor styles. When I was decorating my own flat, it was important to me that it would be cozy, modern, bright and also colorful touches. For example - I set violet and yellow color acents by pillows and pictures. You will also find copper/rosé gold here and there. I'm in love with this color. Right now I'm in the mood to change it up a little bit - trying out a new decor style. Because I like adjusting my decor to seasons, I thought that a summery, "beachy"- Florida Style would be cool. I looked through a lot of websites and magazines and made a styleboard (Room -Florida Style). Maybe I can give you some inspiration and inspire you to give your flat/house a beachy, summery feel even if the ocean isn't in sight. :)

What I love at the moment. | JULY 2015.

" Be happy - it drives people crazy. "

This month has not only been extremely hot in Vienna - it has also been a pretty stressful month. If you're following my blog a little, you might have noticed that I'm currently in the process of MOVING! Therefore I have (of course) a " decor - part" here in this favorites post. ENJOY! :) 

 

DRINKS

  

Starting off with - DRINKS. Yes, I kind of found a "new love". Iced coffee. Okay, iced coffee in general hasn't been a new thing for a coffee lover like me, but I never really made one at home. So, (inspired by a friend of mine) I gave it a go, and I can say - its 100 times more refreshing and awakening than a normal cup of coffee. Especially with my soy milk (so much better than normal milk!!!) it tastes so yummy.

BEAUTY 

 
Honestly, I couldn't be bothered putting on make up when it's 36° outside. BUT an alternative for a heavy foundation would be a BB cream. I tried out the BB Cream (coloured beauty balm) by KIKO a while ago and I really like the effect. It definitely doesn't feel as heavy as a foundation. 

so cool - at first it has a creamy beige color and then it adjusts to your skin tone.

Next - I finally used my (Douglas) voucher and bought my first mac lipstick & lip liner. At first I did some research and watched some youtube videos on which colour would be the best or the prettiest. ( I personally feel more comfortable than be advised in a shop sometimes haha...) In the end I bought the lipstick "FAUX" - a nice natural color.

 

Last but not least - an eye-shadow pallet. It's the NUDE Pallet by Maybelline. I like EVERY color of it - and this is quite rare with me haha. This pallet is supposed to be very very popular and it was sold out quite quickly.

DECOR

 Here are 2 items of my H&M Home purchase. First, a decor tablet /tray. I'm not sure what's the right name for it, but I'll put it on my couch table and put some candles or magazines on it! :) and of course : COPPER style. <3

Yes, I'm MOVING OUT! 

 

This post should give you short information what I've planned for my blog the next month. Because MOVING is a pretty big milestone in my life (or life in general) I decided to capture and document it. If you've already experienced a "moving process" you'll understand how exciting and at the same time exhausting and stressful it can be. For a big decoration and furnishing lover like me - this will be a terrific and special journey for me. The decor buying and planning has already begun, but I'm not even halfway there how I want my new flat to look like. In the following, I will tell you what I have in mind for decorating and styling, where I want to shop for it and my plans for following posts during my move.

What is your imagination of the style for your new home? (Inspiration)

 As a "little" Pinterest-Freak (https://www.pinterest.com/julesmariette/) you know that no matter what, you'll find inspiration for EVERYTHING. Perfect for getting some decoration ideas. When I'm thinking about my future flat (particularly the living room and bed room) I want bright colours!! A lot of white and some yellow/turquoise/grey details. I'm loving this colour combination right now. What I'm also loving: copper details!!! I'll show you some pictures who work as a guideline for me.

Where are you going to shop?

My go-to shops for buying decor are: DEPOT (http://www.depot-online.com/at/home), Mömax (http://www.moemax.at/cms/frontpage) and H&M Home (http://www.hm.com/at/department/HOME). 

DEPOT sells decor items, tableware and a lot of DIY utensils. The SALE there is absolutely amazing sometimes. You can find true treasures. 

Go to Mömax when you are also planning on buying the "basics" like: cutlery, plates, cups..etc. they have adorable offers. You can also find furniture, carpets, lamps and the price level is a tiny bit above IKEA. 

Now my favorite: H&M Home. A lot of people didn't even know that H&M offers homeware and decoration. (It's kind of like Zara Home but way less expensive). I love the style there. You have the bathroom, kitchen, living room and bed room department and each of them has absolutely georgeous items. Literally this moment, my second H&M (home) delivery arrived!!! YAY.

What I love at the moment. | APRIL 2015.

Spring definitely arrived and said hello this month! This makes me so happy since it's my favorite season. It feels kind of like a "new beginning" to me, because a lot changes. Beautiful flowers blossom, the clock's are changing, warmer temeratures, you can (finally) wake up to sunshine and not the dark, outdoor restaurants and cafés are opening...etc. Somehow you want to adjust yourself to spring - colorful clothes and scents, bright colors in your room, being more active and eat healthy food.  I also found myself shopping for new bits in DEPOT.
Sometimes a new update can do wonders. :) 

S P O R T

If this weather doesn't motivate you to go outside I don't know what will.... <3

I haven't been the most passionate runner ever but this month I heard someone talking about the app "Runtastic". I've known it for a long time, but never really used it. This time I downloaded it and instantly planned to go out for a run with my sister. Although it wasn't too long (which probably is quite normal when it's your first run after 100 years ;)) but the feeling afterwards was great. So I decided to go for a second run the following week and (maybe it was just imagination) but it didn't felt as exhausting as the first one. I think while running you can qickly feel little improvements. (so motivating! ). And as you can see on the pictures, the weather was perfect!!

I have to say, this app is extremly motivating. You can see: burned calories, the distance, the time, your route, and you can attach pictures from your run. It automatically sends you an email when you finished your run. Of course, you can turn off the automatical email if it annoys you, but I have to say it doesn't annoy me at all - it motivates me even more to improve my last run again and again :) I can highly recommend it.

 D E C O R

It is known that plants have a great impact on living and work spaces. Positive effects , more efficiency & concentration, good for body and soul. Those things all sound very nice and interesting, but never encuraged me to buy any plants for my room. After spotting some really beautiful pictures of individual work spaces I somehow got more inspiration and decied to finally get some greens in my room. I chose a cactus - I really liked this one and it's also easy to maintain (as far as I know :P). I thought that maybe it would be quite unnecessary, but I have to confess it really jazzes up my work table - quite an eyecatcher. :)

La nuit Trésor - Lancôme

I'm someone who "needs" (wants.. ;)) a new scent when seasons change. I've got my all- time favorites like Chloé or Sí by Armani, but then I somehow need something new. I LOVE it when a specific scent reminds me of a vacation or a special time of the year!! Who feels the same way?  :)  It was quite hard choosing a new scent this time because I couldn't find anything "worth" buying because nothing really impressed me. I was about to buy a new Sí by Armani, as I discovered the la nuit trésor fragrance by Lancôme. It smells a lot like vanilla orchid , incense, papyru, quite oriental and it's very long lasting. Personally, I feel like it is similar to Sí by Armani. LOVE IT.

That would be it with my favorites for April. I hope the weather keeps getting better and better throughout this month. :) If you are familiar with some of the things I listed above, and maybe also been loving let me know and share some experiences! ;)

HAUL. (home decor & tableware)

Decorating is one of my passions. Therefore, I LOVE going shopping for home decor. Even if I don't find anything that day (which is hard to believe... ;)) I love strolling around in an home center for hours, just looking at things and imagine how I would decorate my own house/apartment. I could spend a DAY in an home center. I don't wanna know how crazy I'll get, if I can finally go shopping for my own apartment. :)
